Who is responsible for your data

Dr. Gustavo Rafael Venegas Consejo, specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics (medical license 1065613, specialty license 3248439), practicing in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data.

What we collect

To schedule and provide care we may collect your name, phone number, email address, age and the reason for your visit.

During medical care we also collect sensitive personal data about your present and past health, obstetric and gynecological history, and test results. Under Mexican law this data requires your express consent and receives heightened protection.

How we use it

Purposes necessary to the doctor-patient relationship:

• Scheduling, confirming and following up on your appointments.
• Providing medical care and maintaining your clinical record.
• Issuing receipts and meeting tax and health-authority obligations.
• Contacting you about results, instructions or clinical follow-up.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Contacting us on WhatsApp

If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is processed on that service's infrastructure under its own policies. We suggest not sending sensitive clinical information there if you would rather keep it for the visit.

Who we share it with

Your data is not transferred to third parties except where needed for your care (for instance, laboratories or imaging you authorize) or where the law requires disclosure to health or judicial authorities. Any other case requires your consent.

Your ARCO rights

You may request Access to your data, its Rectification when inaccurate, its Cancellation when you believe it is no longer needed, or Object to its use for specific purposes. You may also withdraw your consent.

To do so, write to [email protected] with your name, a way to reach you and your specific request. We respond within twenty business days.

Note that clinical records must be retained for the period Mexican health regulations require, so certain data cannot be deleted before that period ends.
